My Story
On the night of March 15, 2006, I woke up around 2 a.m. with everything spinning. I thought to myself, This isn’t right. It’s completely dark, but somehow I can feel the room spinning.
My wife woke up around 5 a.m. and asked if I was going to sit with her at work. I was recovering from Achilles tendon surgery and still needed a walker. To break up the boredom, I would often ride with her to the Route 7 Quick Stop, where she worked, and sit at a booth while she worked.
By 7 a.m., I began feeling extremely nauseous. My wife called to check on me and said our daughter would be coming over to check on me. By the time Sheena arrived at 8 a.m., I was even worse.
I asked her to get me a bucket or something because my stomach was so upset. She brought me one, and as soon as she did I dry-heaved, and I heard a loud noise in my head, followed by the sound of rushing blood—like a trickling stream flowing inside my skull.
I turned my head away so Sheena wouldn’t see the pain I was in. She immediately noticed something was wrong and asked, Dad, what happened? I tried to answer, but when I turned to look at her, all I could see was a dark silhouette, as if I were staring into a deep fog. I couldn’t speak.
An ambulance rushed me to the hospital, and after several tests, doctors made the decision to life-flight me to Grant Hospital in Columbus. The prognosis was grim—I had suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm.
At the hospital in Columbus, my wife, Sheila, my son, Jonathan, and Sheena were by my side. When Sheila walked into the room, she said, All the churches are praying.
By this time, if I concentrated really hard, I could speak, so I said, Let’s pray now.
As they prayed, I suddenly felt a burst of cold air—like I had stepped into the middle of winter. When I opened my eyes, I saw what looked like a small cloud, about the size of a steering wheel. It had a silvery hue, with tiny rainbow colors shimmering through it, almost like a moving GIF. It floated toward me.
The moment it touched my head, I felt the undeniable touch of God. As it passed over me, the cloud transformed—it wasn’t just a cloud, but an angel. Its hair, skin, robe—everything looked like that same silvery mist. It stood and watched as Jonathan prayed. Then, as soon as he said Amen, the angel looked toward the heavens and disappeared.
The doctors ran more tests, but this time, they couldn’t find any sign of an aneurysm or any other issue. The only evidence that I had suffered a major cerebral hemorrhage was the blood still lingering in my spinal fluid.
One of the doctors looked at the results in disbelief and said, These don’t match. I don’t know why we can’t find what SOMC found.
But I know why. That’s God!
Two years later, Jonathan and I were reminiscing about that day. As we talked, he said, “I remember exactly what I prayed that day. I prayed, ‘God, if You’ve ever heard me, hear me now. Send an angel and heal Dad.’”
At that moment, it all became clear—I finally understood why the angel stood and watched Jonathan as he prayed. God had answered his prayer in a way we could both see and never forget.
God is amazing!

My Story
For several years, I was treated for bursitis in my right hip. The pain was manageable at first, but over time, it became increasingly difficult to walk—even a simple trip to Walmart was a struggle. I couldn’t make it past the second aisle without needing to sit down or turn around and leave. The pain was unbearable.
After receiving multiple injections, one shot hurt so badly that I decided to stop them altogether. My family urged me to get a second opinion, so I saw another doctor.
This local doctor ordered an MRI since the previous CT scan had shown nothing. When he reviewed the results, he immediately referred me to James Cancer Center in Columbus. But before I left his office, he asked if he could pray for me.
The MRI revealed a massive tumor—14 ½ inches long—wrapping around my pelvic area, extending toward my spine, and entangling several nerves. The diagnosis wasn’t good. The doctor warned that surgery would be risky, with the possibility of paralysis—or worse.
But God!
The surgery was intense, and a team was on standby in case of complications. Yet when the doctor checked on me afterward, he was amazed—I wasn’t in as much pain as expected, and I began walking sooner than anyone anticipated.
At my six-week follow-up, the doctor asked me to walk so he could assess my recovery. He just shook his head in disbelief, astounded that I was walking without a cane, without assistance, and without even needing therapy. He looked at me and said, “You’re just made different.”
But I know—that’s just how good God is!

My Story
My husband and I always knew we wanted children. But we also were told it would be a little harder for me to become pregnant due to some underlying medical conditions that I have. We had been trying to have a baby for about a year with no luck. One Wednesday evening while attending church I felt so moved by the lord, I could feel his presence very heavily this evening. Feeling so moved that evening I made my way to the front of the church to be prayed over. While being prayed over I could feel his touch and I became filled with tears as I could feel he was moving. The following Monday our prayers had been answered, the Lord touched us. We were pregnant! The Lord is so good!
